Just a little project to see how easy it was going to be to redo the 'game' (I use the term loosely) I created in Scratch in Flash.

I dont possess a lot (any?) artistic skill so the graphics are fairly terrible, theres still a few bugs in the logic, some animation syncing problems, no sound currently (may get around to adding some eventually) and you can't win but 'twas fun.

If I can find some free time I'll finish it I seem to have less time now than I did when I was in uni :s

That's quite cool. How do I level up the healer though, cos his heals are crap :P

Yeah the attacks and the heals havent been changed at all from the start havent really made any effort to balance it at all, congrats on managing to kill it (or at least get his health down) though I didn't think it was possible with the terrible pc attack damage, will need to make the win scenario now.

Hmm odd its significantly easier in the actual .swf (which I didnt fully test) than it is in CS4's preview app. Got the boss to - 40 before I died in the .swf cant get him to under 50 in the preview app, seems to run slower as well.

His Timer moved much faster this time for some reason. It's getting addictive. Got him to -310.

Would be nice if the boss dies when he got to zero health :-)

Shaun Milne who has an account here on wosgamers made a Flash MMO demo with similar combat mechanics (and an artist friend!) - the game is not playable, but you can see screens here: http://www.shardsofwar.com/

Flash is used in a lot of gaming apps now, so if you have time to make your own mini-games and post em online I strongly recommend it - will make a great portfolio, and potentially you can make money while you learn.
