The Danger of Statistics - '7 million people in the UK pirate'

"Ok here is a perfect example of how statistics are abused.

The UK government recently announced that 7 million brits are involved with online piracy.
They of course went on to argue about how damaging that is to the economy blah blah blah.

Where did that figure come from?
The task of researching it was given to a team at UCL, who then got the 7 million number from a Forrester Research paper (Which was sponsored by the recording industry).

I need my own notice-board, I reckon. Mebbes Blackboard aint that bad (no ... don't go there!) The chap is still ill, so I've asked the school to arrange a time for the kids to come over. The news so far is, possibly in weel 15. I'll discuss it with the class tomorrow afternoon. Bit of a b*mm*r, but poop happens The school has promised to get back to me. Tell you what, I'll email the senior staff now and see if I get a response by afternoon tomorrow.
