I don't trust the lecturer enough to believe that this is the case. We already know we're being thrown a curve ball. The resit assignment bears minimal relationship to the (published) content of the module. Why assume that completing it would be s...

Rules, Sponcers (to provide prizes), moderators to watch the groups, judges etc. Basically everything you can think a GameJam requires

Alex, John has told me that if i want to try and get some stuff done with the GameJam to get it rolling again, I have created a group for the GameJam. We are still trying to get it up and running for next year although that my be impossible.

What do you think?

Found the problem with the MySQL access ... user error :P

I didn't read the access rights labels in mysql adim when i checked the access. All access to the table was 'available' not 'assigned', so the user had no permissions, lol

Only mysql problem i get is when i hit register after entering my details, no default value for the about me field, which should be an easy fix.

I will just say that I love that kind of instrumental ambient driven music. Cad Goddeu was really nice.
Reminds me of Jeremy Soule and his compositions for Morrowind etc.

With that idea in mind I reckon I could whip you up as many track as you needed. Do you want any specific moods i.e calm, war/battle, creepily atmospheric?

So music Mr McGivern. Any examples of similar things you are looking for?

Alex,

The doc was OK, but was only a game doc and not a tech doc too. Can I say that Alistair McMonnies and I were talking about your work (don't feel intimidated, we do this all the time about students) and we both feel you are performing extremely well in many places, but are missing the opportunity for good marks elsewhere.

You need to find a way to ensure you get all work done to your achievable (IMHO) very high standards. We both feel that the opportunity is before you to get a 1st class honours degree, but you need to do some work on the personal organisation side in order to achieve this.

This is, I hope, a positive encouragement. I awarded you 85% for the first piece for the design module. I don't give grades beyond 70% easily after 1st year. Next year I want to see you getting grades in the 70's and beyond regularly!

Send it to dstobbs@bitshiftstudios.co.uk and I'll check it out. Might be the weekend before I can have a proper look at it

You got that prototype for me, or forgot you were going to email it? :)

I can't find your group's game design documents. Can you locate them for me as a matter of urgency?
